
My grandparents made the best pickled cabbage more than 50 years ago, on the banks of the Dâmbovița River, in the village of Slobozia Moară, popularly known as Brăiloiu. Their product was so good that it could be found in every market in Bucharest.
That’s how the story began.
Later, after 1980, my parents took over the business and carried it forward, starting to work with restaurants and catering companies. And as a child, every autumn, I would take part in pickling the cabbage grown in our garden.
That’s how the desire to create a family tradition emerged.
In 2007, fresh out of law school, I took over the family business, approaching it in a new way. I dedicated myself entirely to my dream: for our lovingly crafted pickles to be appreciated all over the world.
At first, I brought them to all corners of Europe: Spain, England, Italy, France, Germany, Greece, where Romanians longed to have traditional pickles on their table, prepared just like at home.
That’s how the passion grew.
Since 2010, we have entered the Romanian market, and today you can find us in major retail chains.
That’s how “Domnișoara Murătură” came to be. From story, tradition, and passion.
